Our goal at Bishop Wood is for children to have an appreciation of the variety of languages spoken around the world, and of the ways language learning can open our eyes to new places, new ideas and new cultures.

Children at Bishop Wood start learning French in year 3. We focus on equipping children to read, write and speak about subjects that resonate with their own lives by introducing them to plenty of vocabulary and some basic grammatical structures.
