Individual & Small Group Tuition
We offer children the opportunity to learn a musical instrument whilst at Bishop Wood School. Lessons are delivered by the Herts Music Service who offer the following:
- Guitar
- Flute, Clarinet and Saxophone
- Piano
- Violin
Children will be taken out of their classrooms for their music lessons. We try, wherever possible, to operate a rotating timetable so that children are not withdrawn from the same lesson each week.
Parents who qualify for free school meals or other benefits can also apply for remission of music fees. This can entitle you to either a 50% discount on the fees, or the entire cost of the lessons (subject to a termly administration fee). Free Music Clubs
Bishop Wood Choir – The Choir at Bishop Wood has grown from strength to strength in the last few years singing at St Albans Abbey and at the O2 Arena in “Young Voices 2014 and 2018”.
