Below are the key areas for school improvement this academic year (2024-25)

  • To create an engaging and connected curriculum with assessment for learning embedded
    • To identify curriculum priority areas.
    • To establish curriculum values and clear pedagogical routines.
    • To improve the accuracy of assessment across the curriculum.
    • To develop a whole school approach to the delivery of RE.
    • To evaluate the effectiveness of subject leaders.
  • Develop teaching and learning in writing and maths across school
    • To raise attainment in writing.
    • To implement a new spelling scheme.
    • To raise attainment in maths.
  • To embed the Christian values through an engaging RE curriculum and enrichment
    • Improving the presence of Christianity in the wider curriculum (use of understanding Christianity).
    • Preparing the school for SIAMS.
    • Reviewing the school creed and school prayers.
    • Reinstating the worship group and having pupil input into CW (planning and evaluation).
    • Interactive focus to RE in the classroom.
